The Glyndebourne Festival Opera was founded in 1934 by Audrey and John Christie at Lewes in East Sussex (Postcode BN8 5UU). Box office: 01273 813813

The 1996 festival opens on May 17 and runs to August 22. The box office opens for personal bookings on 20 April and telephone bookings on 22 April.
The new season includes new productions of Theodora (Handel) and Lulu (Berg) and revivals of Cosi fan Tutte (Mozart), Arabella (Strauss), Yeugeny Onyegin (Tchaikovsky) and Ermione (Rossini). Note that the schedule details are held back till quite late - as soon as they are released we will put them here and in our schedule listings.
